GL Accountant

Our client, a prestigious and highly respected global company, who opened a Shared Service Centre in Łódź is urgently looking for GL Accountant.
 
The successful Candidate will be responsible for a robust general ledger environment including ensuring that all general ledger journals, accruals, reconciliations and other general ledger transactions are undertaken in own area of responsibility, including provision of support to the completion of statutory accounts as appropriate.

The main duties will include:
• Participation in migration and knowledge transfer
• Maintain accurate accounting records in agreed areas of responsibility
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for agreed areas of responsibility
• Reconcile and confirm monthly inter-company balances for agreed areas of responsibility
• Manage month end close process for agreed areas of responsibility
• Continuous improvements to systems and processes in place to ensure best practice, optimum effectiveness and  efficiency
• Liaison with customers both internal and external
• Ensuring Service Partnership Agreements and KPI’s are managed and adhered to
• Ensuring tax and statutory legislation is adhered to including analysis of tax sensitive items in own area of responsibility
• Liaising closely with all finance groups within the SSC and other support functions as necessary

Qualifications:
• Master degree in accountancy, economics or finance
• Min. 1 year experience in a similar role
• Fluent English and Polish
• Experience in working in SSC/BPO will be an advantage
