Opis stanowiska:

• Key Responsibilities:
• • Responsible for a variety of SUN hardware running Solaris.
• • Responsible for planning designing and building a variety of SUN hardware running Solaris as standalone LPAR/DLPAR
• • Representation of the UNIX project team on project management meetings
• • Direct liaison with project manager, middleware teams and application development groups
• • Capacity planning including capacity relevant re-calculation of existing old hardware onto newer hardware.
• • Support of stress testing, review of performance reports, planning and implementation of corrective counter measures.
• • Business-driven application deployment
• • Tight control of the environment including conformance with standard controls checks and procedures
• • COB planning documentation and testing
• • Production Handover
• • SAN storage set-up & testing
• • Adherence to all Company Security roles and responsibilities which include:
• o Acting in accordance with Company’s information security policies
• o Protecting assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference
• o Execution of particular security processes or activities
• o Ensuring responsibility is assigned to the individual for actions taken
• o Reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation
• • The role may include some overseas travel

Wymagania:

• Knowledge/Experience:
• • Extensive Unix Systems Administration experience on Solaris 6+ years – Linux experience also beneficial
• • Knowledge of SUN architecture and previous SUN server generations
• • Experience of IT projects, preferable relocation projects
• • Experience of a financial services environment highly desirable
• • Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
• • Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment highly desirable
• • Architecture knowledge
• • Sound knowledge of IT relevant Information Security
• • Knowledge of HSM architecture and implementation
• • Knowledge of various middleware products like WebSphere application Server, MQM, Oracle, NDM, Iplanet are beneficial
• • Project management knowledge is beneficial
• Skills:
• • Thorough understanding of Solaris operating system and associated tools
• • Perl and shell-scripting skills
• • Standard office automation products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• • Experience of middleware products such as Connect-Direct, MQ-Series, Websphere, Iplanet, Weblogic highly advantageous
• • TCP/IP and networking experience
• • Fluent written and spoken English
