The Mission:
Development and implementation highly effective procurement strategies for the sourcing of given category to support the business requirements.
Realization of company strategy through new suppliers sourcing and introduction (LCC).
Management of suppliers delivering to factory in Poland to ensure attainment of agreed Supply, Quality, Service, Cost and Innovation targets.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Eastern Europe Sourcing Manager (Poland), you will be mostly responsible for the following:
• establishment and implementation of purchasing strategy in given product category (steel structures or power train or cabin and wheels), lead activities in line with global sourcing policy;
• localization: introduction of new suppliers from LCC, reduction of suppliers base depending on the category
• performing supplier research and identification and performing RFQ analyses
• ensuring the optimal cost level taking into account quality, lead time and accessibility;
• setting target cost, conduct negotiation and track results;
• conducting negotiations of frame (global)/ long term agreements
• participation in cross functional projects;
• active contribution in developing sourcing processes in newly established sourcing organization
• active participation in quarterly meetings, steering sourcing panels
• organization/ participation in joining supplier meetings, close implementation follow up
• supplier relations management – suppliers development and introduction to other plants
• supplier evaluation - management of supplier KPI’s, if necessarily leading corrective actions
• supporting local issues: quality and delivery precision of suppliers
• offering creative solutions to support sourcing projects and achieve desired results
• ensuring smooth communication with internal stakeholders (logistics department, engineering department, category managers, project managers)
Requirements:
• at least bachelor’s degree preferably in a quantitative discipline (logistic/economics/engineering) or equivalent
• at least 3 years of experience in of buying for manufacturing operations (direct purchasing) within international environment (preferably automotive or alike)
• experience working with cross functional teams, aligning technical requirements with commercial terms and conditions and leading RFP processes, negotiations and contract execution
• experience in one of the following spend categories: steel structures, power train, cabin and wheels would be an asset
• hands-on knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and category management processes
• project management skills - the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills
• significant proven competency in contracting/negotiation processes and best practices
• strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
• very good/ fluent English
• multi-tasking skills
• excellent communication, organization/time management, flexibility, assertiveness and problem solving skills
• ability to operate proactively, anticipating possible problems, opportunities and challenges
• PC skills: MS Office, experience in using ERP’s class systems would be an asset
Travel:
• Travel: up to 25 % (suppliers visits)
